Over on our social media channels this week, we’re sharing everything you need to know about our social tariff, Essential Fibre. We want to make sure more eligible Londoners have access to our most affordable broadband package, at only £15 a month.

A social tariff is a special broadband deal for people claiming certain benefits, such as Universal Credit. These tariffs are the same as regular broadband deals but are designed for those who are on lower incomes.
At G.Network, our social tariff is called Essential Fibre. For £15 a month, eligible Londoners can get a speedy and reliable broadband connection. We’ll get you connected for free, and if you’re already a G.Network customer, we won’t charge you an early termination fee for switching.
Best of all, our social tariff is part of our brand-new, full fibre network. This means customers on Essential Fibre still get the benefit of state-of-the-art full fibre broadband. Unlike some providers, we don’t use copper anywhere in our network, making our speeds superfast.
In the current cost-of-living crisis, social tariffs are more important than ever before. That’s why the government’s Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) is running a national campaign to encourage more eligible people to sign up to a social tariff. At G.Network, we’re supporting this campaign by sharing lots of content on our social media channels this week on how to switch to our Essential Fibre tariff.
Also this week, our Chief Executive Officer, Kevin Murphy, attended a meeting organised by DCMS and chaired by Julia Lopez MP, to discuss how broadband providers can work with the government to increase the uptake of social tariffs for those who need it most.
