Price hikes and switching broadband provider: What you need to know.

There are lots of unhappy broadband customers out there – paying too much for slower speeds. But did you know that you could switch broadband providers (let’s say to, um… G.Network) without paying early cancellation fees? Sounds good, right? Here’s what you need to know.
1. At G.Network, we say no to in contract price hikes
Our customers will never be on the end of a price hike while in contract with us. That means if you join one of our broadband deals, you’ll be paying the same monthly tariff throughout your contract. No unpleasant surprises. No hidden extra costs.
2. Been told you’ve got a price hike – now could be your chance to switch
If your broadband provider has been in touch to say your monthly tariff is going up, and you’re still in contract, you may be able to leave within 30 days of receiving the message penalty free. That means you won’t be charged that pesky early cancellation fee. It’s a good opportunity to see what other broadband providers are out there that might be faster, lower price and more reliable.
3. Not getting the speed you were promised – another chance to switch
Whether or not your monthly tariff is on the rise, you could still leave your contract penalty free if you’re not getting the speed you were promised. It’s no good paying for something you’re not getting. If you are noticing slower speeds, make sure it’s not just a temporary fault with the network, and if it isn’t, you can leave your contract early.
At G.Network, if you’re not satisfied with our service, you can leave at any time within the first 3 months of the contract with no penalties.
4. We’re offering 6 months free broadband
Yes, you did read that right. Our fibre freebie is giving new customers 6 months of full fibre broadband on us. Even after that’s up, our range of great value tariffs start at just £22 per month. Why such a low price? That’s because our broadband is for the benefit of all Londoners, so we want to make it accessible to everyone. After all, we all need broadband we can rely on.
And in the long run, you’ll be saving money too. Up to £143 a year in fact.
5. Oh, and we’re ultrafast
Make that x13 faster than the average London broadband speed. Not that we’re showing off. It’s our mission to improve London’s broadband infrastructure and provide its dwellers with the best possible broadband connection.
Most fibre broadband stops at a cabinet up the road before completing a slow journey down old-fashioned copper cables. That’s why your speed is even slower when lots of other households are using it. Our broadband goes direct to your door, which means you get reliable speeds of up to 900Mbps. How about that as a reason to switch?
I’m thinking of switching once my current contract runs out
Of course, there’s never any harm in trying to find a better broadband deal. If you’re looking to switch providers once your current contract ends, it’s never been easier.
We’re working hard to rebuild London’s broadband street by street. It’s a tricky project that requires lots of intricate stages – from getting permission to dig the street, to connecting the street with our fibre cables. So please bear with us while we get our network up and running in your area. It will be worth it, we promise.
